Blacksmith Boot Camp Friday, January 12 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 13 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday, January 14 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Instructor: Jerry Veneziano $250 non-guild members/$200 guild members
Basic training for blacksmiths! You'll make several projects for the home, kitchen and workshop, all while being introduced to many of the most common techniques used in blacksmithing: drawing, upsetting, bending, cutting and punching, heat treating and forge welding. And you'll have fun doing it!
Class size is limited. Students should wear comfortable, natural fiber (cotton) clothes they don't mind getting messy, and work boots or shoes. Safety glasses will be provided. All tools will be provided, but if you'd like to bring your own, you're welcome to do so. Bring a notebook!
Friday night's class will cover safety, expectations and procedures. Students will also be introduced to the shop. This session is mandatory. You will be forging on Saturday and Sunday.

Always wanted to try blacksmithing? Here's your chance! The class will cover the tools of the trade, safety, and basic techniques. This will be a hands-on class; everyone will go home with a completed project!
Class size is limited. Students should wear comfortable, natural fiber (cotton) clothes they don't mind getting messy, work boots or shoes, and safety glasses.
(Guild member's fee will be applied towards your membership dues.)
